Duncan Howie MRICS FAAV

Director

Duncan advises developers, investors, landowners and farmers in relation to general rural professional matters, specialising in bespoke site-finding services for renewable and non-renewable energy clients. Creating opportunities and helping take a project all the way to construction or financial close is what he specialises in. Duncan also carries out residential development option and promotion work. Rural commercial agency and maximising clients returns from assets is also a key part of Duncan’s work and he loves both advising clients on this and putting it into practice on the home farm.

He is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers. He is also past chairman of the Royal Agricultural College Student Union, county chairman of Essex Federation of Young Farmers Clubs and also the Eastern Area of Young Farmers Clubs. Duncan spoke at the Oxford Farming Conference in 2014 in favour of renewable energy at the annual Oxford Union debate.

Duncan is involved in the management of the 300-cow autumn calving dairy herd in Shropshire which he runs with his wife Sarah and her family. He enjoys country pursuits and spending time with his young family.
