Land Agency & Renewables
Dan Casey Ford
Graduate Surveyor
Dan Casey Ford joined Howie Kent & Co as a Graduate Surveyor in September 2025. Originally from County Durham, Dan grew up around agriculture, spending weekends and school holidays helping on a hill farm before working on a mixed farm in North Yorkshire. More recently, he spent two summers harvesting for a busy contract farming business in the Scottish Borders. These experiences gave him a strong practical understanding of the industry and sparked his interest in pursuing a career in rural land agency.
Dan studied Agriculture at Askham Bryan College before graduating from the Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester, with a BSc (Hons) in Rural Land Management. During his time at the RAU, he was Chairman of the university shooting team and acted as a course representative for his cohort.
At Howie Kent & Co, Dan supports a range of projects across the business, including renewable energy site sourcing for wind, solar and battery storage schemes, commercial lettings and lease work, and planning applications across a variety of rural developments. He is currently working towards his RICS APC qualification to become a Chartered Surveyor and is also a probationer member of the CAAV.
Outside of work, Dan enjoys shooting, socialising, and exploring Shropshire.
