Meet the team – Joe Langley
August 2026
Joe joined Howie Kent & Co as a Graduate Surveyor in June 2025.
Joe studied at Leeds Beckett University, where he graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science. In his final year, he discovered a passion for the rural and property sectors, which led him to further studies at Harper Adams University, where he completed a Master’s degree in Rural Estate and Land Management.
During his time at Harper Adams, Joe developed a broad understanding of the core principles of rural surveying, building a strong foundation to support his professional career. Alongside his studies, he volunteered at a local farm to deepen his agricultural knowledge and gain hands-on experience, putting theory into practice in a real-world setting.
Since joining Howie Kent & Co, Joe has taken on a variety of responsibilities across the business. He works closely with the firm’s renewables clients, helping to identify and secure suitable sites for wind, solar, and battery storage projects alongside site finding for poultry unit development. Joe also contributes to the commercial lettings team, taking enquiry calls and liaising with Landlords.
Joe is currently working towards his Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) to become a Chartered Surveyor, and is also a Probationer Member of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV), aiming to achieve his fellowship within the next two years.
Outside of work, Joe enjoys playing rugby, getting outdoors, and spending time with friends and family. Having recently moved to Shropshire, he’s looking forward to exploring everything the area has to offer.
