Meet the team – Dan Casey Ford

Dan Casey Ford joined Howie Kent & Co as a Graduate Surveyor in September 2025.

Dan studied agriculture at Askham Bryan College before going on to study at the Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester, graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Rural Land Management.

Born in County Durham, Dan grew up learning about farming at a close family friend’s hill farm. He worked on a mixed farm in North Yorkshire, and spent summers harvesting for a busy contract farming company in the Scottish borders. Dan has always worked around agriculture but wanted to tie this in to a career around land agency.

The practical agricultural knowledge, combined with his degree, means that he is well placed to continue learning whilst being able to provide advice and knowledge to clients. Dan is working towards his Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Assessment of Professional Competency (APC) qualification to become a Chartered Surveyor. Dan is also a probationer member of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV) working towards his fellowship in two years’ time.

At Howie Kent & Co, Dan undertakes a wide range of work. He is involved with renewables clients to source sites for wind, solar, and battery storage alongside assisting with commercial lettings enquiries and leases. Dan is eager to continue to grow. Learning on the job in such turbulent times means that he has swiftly been brought up to date with policy and legislation change as the government strives for a more environmentally friendly future.

Outside of work, Dan can often be found shooting, or socialising. He is enjoying settling into life in Shropshire and is looking forward to discovering more of what the county has to offer!
