Proud to support Harper Adams Rowing Club

Howie, Kent and Co have been delighted to sponsor Harper Adams Rowing Club for the last 12 months. Our current placement student Harry Pennington has undertaken the club president role for the last year and the club has gone from strength to strength.  Alongside the teams other sponsors, we have help fund next year’s activities, and make the club more accessible for novice rowers who want to give the sport a go.

Other notable achievements under Harry’s leadership have included:

• Membership growth to over 60 full, fitness, and social members.
• Attendance in regattas, sprints and heads across the country, getting novice and experienced crews some race experience.
• Completed a week long training camp to boost on-the-water experience following flooding at their host club, Pengwern BC in Shrewsbury.
• Put forward a massive entry to BUCS, with victories in several finals.
• Won “Club of the Year” at Harper Adams Students’​ Union Club and Societies awards, ending the year on a massive high.
