Meet the team | Elaine Homer

December 2025

Having joined Howie Kent & Co over five years ago as a Residential Lettings Co-ordinator, Elaine now holds the position of PA and Secretary, offering dedicated support to the firm’s Professional and Commercial teams.

Prior to joining the Howie, Kent & Co team she worked as a Senior Administrator in the rural department of a national property consultancy firm. In this role she assisted surveyors with valuation reports, compensation claims, land and farm sales, property lets and management.

Elaine has held a range of administrative positions, from a recruitment firm to an occupational health department. She draws on this experience to help ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the office.

Over the years, Elaine’s role at Howie Kent & Co has evolved. She began by supporting the residential property management side of the business, working closely with landlords and tenants. She has also provided ongoing support to the Professional team by managing correspondence and maintaining accurate records. More recently, Elaine has extended her expertise to assist commercial landlords in finding suitable tenants.

“I really enjoy the variety of my role and getting stuck into all aspects of the job. Being able to work flexibly from both home and the office is a major plus.”

Outside of work Elaine keeps herself fit by walking and running and has recently taken up pickleball. She also enjoys baking. Her two teenage daughters are becoming more and more independent, however, she is still there to encourage and support them in their varied activities and interests.
