Rural, Commercial or Development Surveyor Vacancy

Howie, Kent & Co is a progressive firm of property consultants carrying out professional services and commercial lettings We are looking to recruit a qualified chartered surveyor who could come from a variety of backgrounds to cater with our diverse client range.

Our growing, dynamic team is based in a rural office to the south of Shrewsbury, and we are seeking a surveyor to join our team on, ideally, a full time basis but if we find the right candidate a more flexible approach can be agreed. The first six months would be office based but after that working from home can be agreed. The role will include a requirement to travel to sites, be highly organised and to have good communication skills for reporting directly to clients on project progression.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Site acquisition for renewable energy projects and green developments, negotiating with landowners to agree heads of terms and option agreements.
• Engaging with landowners, clients and all third party professional advisors through the development process on our clients behalf.
• Direct reporting to clients.

Key attributes:

• RICS qualified, also CAAV fellow is advantage for rural work but not essential.
• Relevant experience in agency / CPO / renewable energy
• Highly organised and good communicator
• Proficient IT skills, particularly to have or develop the ability to use digital mapping systems
• Team player, like a laugh and don’t take yourself too seriously.
